Very helpful staff and convenient for when my washing machine broke down. They had all the change required for the machines.
I have been living in Stoke Newington/ Dalston for three years now. My regular launderette is located opposite the Stokey Farmers market. Having had previous bad experiences in this launderette when I first moved to this area I decided not to go back. The one opposit the farmers market charges 3 for a small wash and 4 for a large. There is also a spinning machine which rings out any excess water before drying. The driers take 20p coins and the lovey lady in there is more than happy to give change. In an emergency situation I had no choice but to use this laungertte due to it being open till 8pm. Well I was certainly exploited for it- I was greeted by this miserable woman that works in there. I was then told that as I was only drying two suitcases full of clothes...! I would have to pay an EXTRA 1.50p as I had not used their washing facilities. What a joke! I had no other option but to pay this 'fee'. There is no signs displaying this extra charge and I have never experienced this anywhere else at the three other laubgerettes in this area! Washing Machine costs are 1 more expensive than other places. Total rip off.
Saved our day after our machine broke. Very friendly and nice. One of the few nice launderettes left in London.
