Never had any issues, nice staff and service. I got help selecting some nice timber from higher up and they let me use their hand saw to cut it to size. Sure, sometimes it's annoying not everything is in stock but as it's not massive warehouse this is totally fine. You can give them call upfront...
A brilliant local shop. They have almost everything that one of the soulless big warehouse stores have. The difference is that the staff are friendly and helpful. They have always been able to help me even with the most weird request (not THAT weird, it's not that kind of place).

Possibly the friendliest, most helpful builders merchants ever, and my go-to DIY place. The ONLY reason I'm not giving a five star is because they don't always have things in stock but that's no reflection on the customer service.
The shelves are bare hardly anything in stock - unimformative manager who seemed like his mind was elsewhere not focused on advising me as a customer. I always thought of this place as ok as a local merchants if desperate, now I think its a waste of a large space. Build something useful here!! Management a joke and very unprofessional I wouldnt advise a wasted trip here much better options close by.
