Brew their own beer, which is excellent. Also have other beers available and spirits available. Their pizza is excellent but its nigh on impossible to get a table, unless you time it perfectly! Service is a bit haphazard
Just awesome! Great craft beers, brewed in house and amazing pizza! They have a proper brick pizza oven to add that extra touch of authenticity. You can even see through to brewery area and see the work that goes in to making a great beer. It's a converted warehouse right next to the canal. In summer there is no better place to chill with friends. Very diverse crowd to, from students to parents with the little ones. Must try!
Love the atmosphere (especially in the summer), always great beer (& wine) and the best crispy thin crust pizza. Definitely check it out.
Love the pizza. Love the beer they make there.We went with friends and had a great time outside despite the cold. The river and run down hipster area hit all the right spots and it was even child friendly. Only downside was that it was packed and there was minimal seating inside.
I recently visited the crate for the first time with work colleagues. I was told good things about this place so was looking forward to trying it out. The setting is great, oozing the hipster vibe with chairs made from rope and tables from slabs of wood found floating down the canal (they could have been) I went for the margarita pizza and found that it looked great but the crusts were super super crispy...edible but I prefer softer sour dough. Most of my colleagues had left the crusts on theirs. Overall, pretty decent but not my favourite type of pizza.
